Perilipin-2, also known as Adipophilin, belongs to the perilipin family, members of which coat intracellular lipid storage droplets. This 48 kDa protein is associated with the lipid globule surface membrane material, and maybe involved in development and maintenance of adipose tissue. However, it is not restricted to adipocytes as previously thought, but is found in a wide range of cultured cell lines, including fibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells, and tissues, such as lactating mammary gland, adrenal cortex, Sertoli and Leydig cells, and hepatocytes in alcoholic liver cirrhosis, suggesting that it may serve as a marker of lipid accumulation in diverse cell types and diseases.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. Calcineurin B homologous protein 2, also known as hepatocellular carcinoma-associated antigen 520, is a 196 amino acid protein that contains 4 EF-hand domains and plays a potential role in transmembrane Na/H exchange. By binding to and activating NHE-1, CHP2 increases the pH and works to protect cells from serum deprivation-induced death. Though not typically detected in normal tissues, CHP2 is highly expressed in malignantly transformed cells and is therefore considered to be a tumor-associated antigen. Ectopic expression of CHP2 promotes proliferation of HEK293 cells and knockdown of CHP2 mRNA in HepG2 cells inhibits cell proliferation. Like calcineurin B, CHP2 can bind to and stimulate phosphatase activity of calcineurin A and activate the calcineurin/NFAT signaling pathway. Recognizes a protein of 75 kDa, identified as γ heavy chain of human immunoglobulins. It reacts with all sub-classes of γ chain of human immunoglobulins. It does not cross-react with α (IgA), μ (IgM), ε (IgE), or δ (IgD), heavy chains, T-cells, monocytes, granulocytes, or erythrocytes. This MAb is useful in the identification of leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. The most common feature of these malignancies is the restricted expression of a single heavy chain class. PMEPA1 (prostate transmembrane protein, androgen induced 1 is a 287 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that contains WW-binding motifs and localizes to the cell membrane. Expressed at high levels in prostate, kidney and ovary, PMEPA1 interacts with NEDD4 and may play a role in regulating AR (androgen receptor) levels, specifically in prostate cells. Down regulation of PMEPA1 is observed in prostate tumors, suggesting that PMEPA1 may exhibit activity as a tumor suppressor. Complement C1q A Chain (C1qa) is a subunit of C1q. C1q is composed of 6 polypeptide chains each of C1qa, C1qb, and C1qc. C1q is a component of the classical complement pathway, and thereby plays an important role in the immune response. Each C1q subunit contains an N-terminal collagen-like region and a C-terminal C1q globular domain. The presence of receptors for C1q on effector cells modulates its activity, which may be antibody-dependent or independent. Macrophages are the primary source of C1q, while anti-inflammatory drugs as well as cytokines differentially regulate expression of the mRNA as well as the protein.
